nostalgia’s wisp fades to grey skies. comfort buried beneath sodden frost. living endlessly within this body, I dissociate into images of strangers.
an outsider to my own life. rays of salience never glow upon my skin. following branches sent from the divine. a message obscured by discord of heart and mind.
everyday we grow further from the moment everything stood still. the intoxication i will chase until i die, whose colors become only less vivid, less true. crumbling into soil to be forgotten, leaving nothing but the stench of eternal sickness.

I don’t wanna let the light shine on my face, while I try to build a home inside a darkened space.
if you can’t stop the bleeding then it’s far too late. give my heart to the enemy and walk away.
was I weak or was I wrong? did I fake it far too long? I was building up a shell, I had to break down my old hell.
A retreat within my mind, I was lost. I found nothing, and I found no one. it was a self-made habitat, where the parasite of desperation found a way to cultivate inside.
fighting away desire for love. temptations of pleasure, eventual pain.
playing the game, and living a lie. drowning in silence, and hiding in shame.

|
homesick for distant shores, of sands walked in visions. a blind hand reaches across the sea, for a warm belonging felt in lives past.
I’ve been here for too long. a siren song is beckoning with melodies of hope. drowning under frigid waves, crashing in front of me, filled with bittersweet echoing harmony. behind these wooden walls, whose pores seep full of doubt, I leave this all behind.
the trembling blaze. smoke billows from crippled homes. sold dreams of the infinite, peddled by colonizers, imprisoned by their tempests.
burning, phosphorous limbs suffocate. melting, faceless we assimilate. fading, eroded by sands of hostility. rising, from the fallen walls of the antiquated.
a fire, a beacon, on the horizon. upon these ashes we plant seeds of hope. blackened waters seep through tired oak, guided through fog by irradiant souls.
this hope is all i have left, this hope keeps me alive.
from the breathless depths of woe, untangling the cycle of rot, blessed to watch the sunrise again.

carving sunlight through my eyes. growing brighter, other worlds. can we stay here, grasping for eternal light? grasping for eternal warmth, reaching for the sun.
